'creaking box'
A diminutive chest with creaking lid.
Although closely related to early oak chests and boxes, this has many
of my own design features. Not least is the creaking lid which is engineered
to sound upon opening. This might be a security device or a musical-box.
Oak pegged, with an integral hinge, this box is strong enough to sit
upon.
